At kidOYO, our team builds public benefit software as a directed outcome of our non-profit purpose for existing. Since our platform launch in 2014, we have done zero advertising, and have utilized a zero-business model approach to marketing. This means that while many will call us "vendors", we rarely show up in such a context. Where we do show up is at free live events in our communities, at local schools in K12 classrooms, at University campuses where computer science and engineering often struggle to connect and communicate effectively with local people pursuing local opportunity to learn.
