kidOYO returns to campus this fall, in partnership with the Department of Computer Science and College of Engineering & Applied Sciences at Stony Brook University to Code Long Island

If you are a returning kidOYO student, this semester will be 4 weeks in duration, and allow you to continue learning with kidOYO Certified Mentors on skills in your areas of interest (Scratch, Python, Java, Web Development, Game Development, Hardware Prototyping..)

If you are new to kidOYO, selecting a couple interest topics will help introduce yourself to our mentors

Every event that kidOYO Mentors produce is different, and custom to the people that show up to learn and create locally 🦄

Certified kidOYO Mentors are more than capable of interacting with multiple programming languages, as well as advanced concepts of engineering and computer science used in building physical computing projects, data science projects, web design, game development, robotics 🤖, and more!

About kidOYO

At learning is personal, live and virtual by default

Our team of professional engineers, product developers, curriculum developers, computer science graduates, and entrepreneurs has developed a learning platform that empowers learners to build functional skills incrementally, challenging them to demonstrate understanding directly with mentors who are trained to understand the context of a learners progression

Our method is to allow Individual learners to set their own pace of skill development and demonstrate their own interests in the project work they complete and share with mentors

(kidOYO summer camp demo day. @ new cs building SBU. July 2019)

While our live events start at 8 years of age, our methods are open to learners of all ages, and in fact many kidOYO learners are advancing into areas of study and project development, such as AP Computer Science A + Principles testing as early as 6th, 7th, 8th grade

At all times, learners at kidOYO own their own learning process, and all the project data they create along the way while building expansive digital literacy skills
